This case study explores how Vantage Performance supported the successful turnaround and refinancing of indoor skydiving and immersive experiences operator during a period of significant financial and operational pressure.

The business required immediate liquidity improvement and strategic restructuring support to stabilise operations while the Board evaluated longer-term growth and refinancing options.

Vantage Performance was engaged to improve cash flow, manage stakeholder relationships, and lead a broader restructuring and refinancing process designed to restore stability and position the business for future expansion.

Key initiatives included:

  • Development and implementation of multiple cash flow improvement initiatives to stabilise liquidity

  • Strategic stakeholder management to restore confidence among financiers and creditors

  • Project management of a debt restructuring process involving the group’s two major secured creditors

  • Leadership and coordination of a competitive refinancing process, ultimately resulting in Causeway Financial being selected as the successful refinancing partner

  • Negotiation of approximately $1M in unsecured creditor write-downs

  • Coordination with legal advisers including Hamilton Locke throughout the restructuring process

A major focus throughout the engagement was creating sufficient financial stability and stakeholder alignment to allow management and the Board to transition from crisis management toward strategic growth execution.

The outcome:

  • Successful debt restructure and refinance of the business

  • Significant improvement in operational cash flow and liquidity

  • EBITDA improvement of approximately $2.5M for the half-year period

  • Increase in net equity of approximately $7.7M

  • Share price growth of approximately 1,000% during the period of involvement

  • Preservation of approximately 82 jobs

Repositioning of the business to pursue growth opportunities across Virtual Reality, immersive training, and simulation sectors
